Admin Portals NOT Usable Yet -- DO NOT ATTEMPT ACCESS!

Despite several, plainly visible, forms of an "in testing / do not use" warning, I have found more than one student has "enrolled" in an Admin Fee Portal since I started working/testing on it. It takes multiple clicks to get from the payment/enrollment page, to actually being "enrolled" in this "course." Therefore, such action has, and will be, regarded as willfully "ignoring or not following clear, repeated, instructions." and demerits will be issued.

Although those several warnings should be sufficient, I am posting here so that there can be absolutely no excuse for "I didn't know."

P.S. Please note: this part of the system is in "sandbox mode", meaning a virtual environment where there's no effect in the real-world. That is, no real monies can be or are exchanged, even though the payment processing window/pages appear to process a transaction.

Course Completion Restructuring Soon

I have been doing some testing with the intent to make the course completion, and Course Codes & Credits credits-awarding processes more automated. Over the next few weeks, possibly months, I will be refitting all currently available courses to include these modifications. During this time, your ability to take quizzes/tests, grades, and so on will not be affected.

You may, however, receive (automatic) notifications from the system with messages like "Congratulations! You have completed such-and-such.", even if you completed the course long before now. Such messages are triggered by the fact certain requirements were met. It does not mean the date you completed the final/course has changed. For any courses where you have not completed the final, then the message will be sent once you have completed the course and met whatever the requirements for it are.

Hopefully, when this process is all finished, we should be able to offer a kind of degree tracking system within Moodle-- a list of courses you need to complete pertaining to your degree. Or, at the very least, a list to start with of required courses to complete regardless of degree path. Plus, we should be able to reinstate the badges system-- a fun, visual way to recognize course completion.

Check & Purge Complete [June 2025] -- CHECK/UPDATE YOUR STATUS NOW

!! IMPORTANT NOTICE !!

The monthly Activity Status "Check & Purge" has been completed, CHECK AND UPDATE YOUR STATUS IMMEDIATELY!!


If your account has been marked as "Idle" or "Pending Removal" we urge you to change it back to "Active" as soon as you log in!! Simply logging in is NOT sufficient! 

If you are inactive for more than 30 days, your account will be marked as "Idle", and you will have less than 60 days to update your account.

If your account is inactive for 90 days or more, your account will be marked for removal, and will be permanently removed from the system. Any work you have done will then be deleted, and you will have to start completely over, should you decide to come back and study with us.

If you expect to be away for more than 2 months (60 days) and do not want your account to be removed, you MUST contact us and request an "Extended Absence" status. You may not change your activity status yourself, except to update it back to "Active."

 

To check your Activity Status:

NAVIGATION > My Profile > View Profile    .

Look for: "Activity Status"

To edit/update Activity Status:

SETTINGS > My Profile Settings > Edit Profile

Change "Activity Status" to: Active


 

The next Check & Purge is scheduled for the first week of July 2025 .

The website will be in "Maintenance Mode" for that day, and you will not be able to access your coursework.
